The study started about a year ago, thinking that 100 year-old commentaries were “old”. Once I decided to share this study as a blog in January 2022, the beginning was taken back to almost 2000 years ago. I started with introductory materials, but now we’re into the Book itself.           Actually I did look at your sources page and found it interesting. We have some overlap, which I’d expect. My sources are strictly on Revelation…obviously I have other books that aren’t on Revelation, but they aren’t on my sources list. My sources are divided between hard-copy books and pdfs; I have ~250 so far and I’m adding to them as I go. I will be looking at your sources more closely and adding any on Revelation that I don’t have and can find to acquire…it’s a bit of an obsession. The sheer number of sources is why it takes me so long to put out a new post!

              My worry yesterday was that we would lose power. I’m in California and that happens way too often. And sure enough, about an hour after I shut down the computer the power went out. It’s going to be over 100 again today and tomorrow, then down to the high 90’s for a few days. Argh.

                Good article! There was recently a story in the news out of Australia about a man, his brother, and his brother’s wife, who were basically holed-up waiting for the return of Christ. The police invaded his space and they all started shooting. I had to look up the outcome because the article never said what happened to these three people (of course, they were all shot to death), but the article made a very big deal about them being “Premillennialists,” as if that was something really dangerous. And also lately, I’ve been hearing people in my (Lutheran) church talk about “Dispensationalists” as being way out there and lunatic fringe. As a Premillennial Pretrib Dispensationalist I am getting nervous. And I don’t think being a Preterist is an especially safe stance either. The more we can spread the word about what these things really mean the better!
